Medium Drone Instructor

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and DGCA-certified Medium Drone Instructor to train aspiring drone pilots in both theory and practical flying of medium-category drones. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training as per DGCA guidelines, conducting evaluations, and ensuring safe drone operations during all training activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Instruction

• Conduct theory sessions on DGCA regulations, drone operations, aerodynamics, and safety procedures.
• Deliver hands-on practical training for medium-category drones, including manual and autonomous flight modes.
• Train students on mission planning, risk assessment, emergency procedures, and field operations.
• Guide trainees through drone hardware knowledge—assembly, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all flying sessions adhere to DGCA operational procedures and No-Permission-No-Takeoff (NPNT) norms.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks for training drones.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain discipline during live flight sessions.

Assessment & Documentation

• Conduct simulation training and evaluate trainee performance.
• Assist in preparing training materials, question banks, and course content.
• Maintain training logs, attendance, flight hours, and performance reports.
• Administer written, oral, and practical exams as per the syllabus.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Mandatory: Valid DGCA Medium Category Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC).
• Educational Qualification: B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech / M.E / B.Sc (Science or Engineering background preferred).
• Minimum 6 months – 2 years of active drone flying experience (medium category preferred).
• Strong understanding of UAV safety guidelines, DGCA rules, and field operations.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to train, mentor, and work in team-driven environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using mission planning software (e.g., DJI Pilot, QGroundControl, UgCS).
• Knowledge of medium-category drone systems, sensors, payloads, and maintenance.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and guide trainees calmly.
• Basic knowledge of aerial data processing (optional but beneficial).
• Prior experience as a drone trainer is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
