Job Description

Role Overview

The Medical Writer will be responsible for analyzing, summarizing, and drafting high-quality medical and clinical documents for medical-legal projects. The role requires strong medical knowledge, excellent writing skills, and the ability to interpret complex clinical data into accurate, well-structured narratives for legal, clinical, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, review, and abstract relevant medical records and reports accurately.
  • Analyze, extract, summarize, and edit clinical data, including treatments, diagnoses, laboratory findings, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Draft and deliver:
  • Demand Letters for Personal Injury cases
  • Chronological Medical Summaries
  • Rebuttals (No-Fault, Peer Review, IME)
  • Prepare patient histories in a clear, logical, and chronological format covering disease progression, assessments, and interventions.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading and quality control (QC) checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Adhere strictly to organizational writing guidelines and ensure proper documentation, storage, and version control of submissions.
  • Research diseases, treatments, pharmaceutical products, clinical studies, and medical literature as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Eligibility: B.Pharm / M.Pharm/ BAMS/ BHMS
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in:
  • Medical Writing, Medical Summarization in BPO / KPO environments
  • Hands-on experience in clinical data summarization and chronological medical reviews.
  • Exposure to medical records and associated healthcare processes is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and logical structuring abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and commitments consistently.
