As a Medical Typist, your role involves accurately transcribing, formatting, and entering medical records and reports from audio or handwritten sources into electronic health record (EHR) systems. You will ensure data accuracy and patient confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaboration with medical staff to clarify information, updating patient records, managing documentation, and maintaining supplies are key responsibilities. Your strong typing proficiency, knowledge of medical terminology, attention to detail, grammar, computer literacy, and adherence to privacy standards like HIPAA are essential for success in this role.
