Description
As a highly motivated and experienced Lead Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end (E2E) test automation initiatives to ensure the quality of the product development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include the following: - **Automation Strategy & Leadership**: - Define and drive the test automation roadmap for E2E systems, aligning with business goals and development cycles. - Select and implement appropriate tools and frameworks for automation such as Selenium, Cypress, or others. - **Framework Development**: - Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. - Implement automation strategies for testing complex systems, simulators, and integrations. - **E2E Business Testing Lead/Coordination**: - Understand business processes and products to ensure the automation framework supports end-to-end workflows. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria. - **CI/CD Pipeline Integration**: - Integrate all automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and reporting. - Drive automation for regression testing to ensure timely delivery of releases. - **Team Collaboration & Mentorship**: - Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team on automation best practices. - Lead defect triage meetings to drive quality metrics and ensure root cause analysis for critical issues. - **Quality Assurance**: - Conduct code reviews for automated tests and ensure test coverage, scalability, and reliability. - Advocate for quality assurance standards and ensure adherence to testing guidelines. - **Performance Metrics**: - Define and track key quality metrics such as automation coverage, defect density, and test execution efficiency. - Generate regular test reports for stakeholders to summarize progress and quality status. - **Problem Solving**: - Address challenges in automating complex use cases by leveraging simulators and APIs. - Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues in automation scripts and testing environments. Qualifications: - Define and drive the test automation roadmap for E2E systems. - Select and implement appropriate tools and frameworks for automation. - Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria. - Ensure all automated tests are integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and reporting. - Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team on automation best practices. - Conduct code reviews for automated tests and ensure test coverage, scalability, and reliability. - Define and track key quality metrics, including automation coverage, defect density, and test execution efficiency. - Address challenges in automating complex use cases by leveraging simulators and APIs. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. - Experience in working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for testing containerized applications. - Experience with AI/ML-based test automation tools is a plus.
