MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

As a Medical Technologist at our company, your role involves performing and recording laboratory tests in a section that covers a wide range of sophistication. You will assist in quality control studies, research, development of new procedures, teaching students, and orienting new personnel. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform, record, and evaluate external and internal quality control procedures - Check and standardize reagents - Calibrate and standardize sophisticated instrumentation - Perform routine maintenance on sophisticated instrumentation and document troubleshooting - Research literature and assist in the development of new procedures - Prepare and present lectures or in-services - Interpret and correlate test results with the patient's diagnosis - Maintain complete and accurate records **Qualifications Required:** - Graduate from an accredited college or university with a B.Sc. in Medical Technology (certification required) - One year of experience working in all areas of the laboratory, including microbiology and blood bank preferred - Licensure: AMT, ASCP, CASMET, AABB, NCA, CSMLS, or equivalent - Bahamas Health Professions Council mandatory If you have any additional details about the company, please provide them for inclusion in the job description.,
