Medical Information Specialist

As a Medical Information Specialist at VIATRIS, your role is crucial in providing technical and scientific support for responding to unsolicited inquiries. Your responsibilities include researching, creating, and updating Global Scientific Response Documents (GSRDs) to ensure accurate and timely responses to medical inquiries. You will also manage escalated inquiries, peer review colleagues" work, provide literature services, and participate in global medical information projects. Key Responsibilities: - Create, maintain, and review GSRDs and related content to provide medically and scientifically accurate responses - Develop comprehensive knowledge of Medical Information (MI) work processes and collaborate effectively with global colleagues - Conduct research and analyze scientific information to address escalated MI inquiries - Perform high-quality searches of medical literature and maintain the literature search pool in the global platform - Deliver accurate query responses to internal and external customers within agreed timelines - Comply with all applicable policies, guidelines, and regulations related to MI work - Collaborate with Global Product Teams to understand customer needs and exchange product information and best practices - Provide MI training and act as a subject matter expert on responsible products and therapeutic areas - Seek innovative solutions to improve MI processes and responses - Lead product sub-teams, working groups, and MI projects/initiative teams with global impact - Contribute to global projects for continuous improvement based on team needs - Develop aligned MI therapeutic area group by providing customer insight and business trends Qualification and Experience: - Educated to Scientific or Medical degree level or equivalent - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Medical Information and Medical Writing - Background in the pharmaceutical industry and awareness of compliance issues (3+ years) - Understanding of regulatory policies governing scientific interactions (2+ years) - Experience with GxP requirements, adverse event reporting, and data management (3+ years) - Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy/Medical/Life Sciences or related field required, higher degree preferred - Proficiency in English at an advanced level is required Your role as a Medical Information Specialist at VIATRIS is essential in providing accurate and timely responses to medical inquiries, contributing to global projects, and continuously seeking innovative solutions to improve MI processes.,
