Medical Coding

We are looking for a certified and detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will review medical records and accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures to ensure accurate medical billing and reimbursement. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare providers, billing teams, and compliance departments to maintain coding accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal regulations, payer policies, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to verify and clarify medical documentation for precise code assignment.
• Investigate and resolve coding-related denials, rejections, and audit queries to support accurate claim processing.
• Stay updated with current coding guidelines, payer requirements, and industry best practices.
• Work closely with the revenue cycle management team to improve reimbursement accuracy and minimize claim denials.

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on medical coding experience across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty-specific cases.
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology essential for accurate CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Education Requirements:

• Any life science degree
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements:

Experience in medical coding (inpatient, outpatient, or specialty-specific, depending on role).
