About the Role:

Datavalley is looking for an experienced Medical Coder Trainer (Freelance) to deliver engaging and practical training sessions on medical coding. The trainer will guide students in mastering coding standards, compliance, and tools used across healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive training sessions on ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Prepare and update training materials, assessments, and case studies.
• Provide hands-on training and feedback to learners to ensure coding accuracy.
• Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines, compliance norms, and payer policies.
• Track learner progress and help them prepare for industry-recognized certifications such as CPC or CCS.
• Maintain effective communication and deliver sessions both online and offline, as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical, or Paramedical fields (e.g., B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, BPT, etc.).
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification (AAPC/AHIMA).
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 1 year of training or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, online tools, and virtual teaching environments.

Work Details:

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday
• Work Hours: 6 hours per day
• Monthly Engagement: 25 working days

Compensation:

Attractive freelance pay based on experience and session quality.
