We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Medical Billing Supervisor to manage our daily billing and claims operations, focusing on Medicaid claims. As the Medical Billing Supervisor, you will lead the billing team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the revenue cycle. We need a hands-on leader who can troubleshoot complex billing issues, train staff, and drive the team to achieve key performance metrics. Your responsibilities will include supervising a team of Medical Billers and Claims Specialists, distributing workloads effectively, and monitoring team performance against key metrics such as clean claim rate, denial rate, and accounts receivable aging. You will analyze billing data to identify trends, address issues, and provide recommendations to improve processes. Additionally, you will be the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, particularly with Medicaid claims, and assist in preparing high-level appeals for denied claims. Training and development are crucial aspects of this role. You will train new billing staff, provide ongoing coaching to the team, and ensure compliance with Medicaid policies and best practices. Quality and compliance are top priorities, and you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to HIPAA, Medicaid, and other regulations, as well as conducting quality assurance audits on claims. To qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience, including 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Extensive experience with Medicaid claims processing is essential. Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and practice management tools is required, along with strong analytical skills using tools like Microsoft Excel. A professional billing certification (e.g., AAPC's CPB) is highly preferred. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
