As a Lead Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our end-to-end (E2E) test automation initiatives and ensuring the quality of our product development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include the following: - Define and drive the test automation roadmap for E2E systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and development cycles. - Select and implement the right tools and frameworks for automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress or others). - Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable test automation frameworks to support functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. - Implement automation strategies for testing complex systems, simulators, and integrations. - Understand the business process and different products to ensure the automation framework supports end-to-end workflows, including scenarios involving simulators, APIs, and UIs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, DevOps, Business Analysts, Product Owners) to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria. - Ensure all automated tests are integrated with CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and reporting. - Drive automation for regression testing to ensure timely delivery of releases. - Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the QA team on automation best practices. - Conduct code reviews for automated tests and ensure test coverage, scalability, and reliability. - Define and track key quality metrics, including automation coverage, defect density, and test execution efficiency. In addition to the responsibilities, you should have the following qualifications: - Experience in defining and driving test automation roadmaps for E2E systems. - Proficiency in selecting and implementing automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, etc. - Strong skills in building, maintaining, and enhancing scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead defect triage meetings. - Experience in conducting code reviews for automated tests and defining key quality metrics. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. - Experience in working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for testing containerized applications. - Experience with AI/ML-based test automation tools is a plus.
