Job Description

As a member of the systems engineering team at Siemens Energy, your role will involve managing mechanical and systems technical scope for the supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects. This includes gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and extended plant scope such as coolers and scrubbers. Your responsibilities will also include supporting Project Engineers in addressing technical concerns with internal and external clients, ensuring the highest engineering standards are maintained within the mechanical engineering department, and fixing and understanding compressor and process system designs from a mechanical standpoint. You will also be involved in the development of contract P&IDs and Instrumentation wiring diagrams in COMOS, supporting production in the assembly of equipment, and performing technical calculations for projects. Additionally, you will manage the Mechanical Engineering schedule to ensure timely release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum B.E. in an engineering-related field, with a Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. An M.S. degree is a plus. You should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Mechanical Engineering, particularly in Rotating Equipment. Other requirements include the ability to read and convert client specifications into manufacturing/purchase specifications, good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to travel up to 10% of the time, and experience with Engineering/PLM software such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira. Knowledge of API614, API692, and API617 is a plus, as well as experience with SAP.
