Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing setup, your core responsibilities will include planned maintenance (PMI) and addressing breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime. You will be tasked with creating and executing monthly preventive maintenance schedules, adjusting them to prevent repeated failures, and analyzing breakdown causes to maintain equipment history cards. Additionally, you will manage spare parts inventory, inspect incoming materials for quality, and coordinate with engineers to resolve operational issues. In this role, you will be expected to understand blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals, as well as research and evaluate new equipment before installation. Recommending design changes to enhance performance and reduce failures will also be part of your duties. Leading mechanics and electricians, overseeing installations, operations, and repairs, and ensuring strict adherence to safety systems and work permits are crucial aspects of this position. Your reporting and documentation responsibilities will involve preparing SOPs for each equipment, submitting daily/monthly MIS reports, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures. The ideal candidate will hold a BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance. Proficiency in mechanical and basic electrical maintenance, along with the ability to manage technicians, is essential. Flexibility to work extra hours/shifts, physical fitness, and no allergies to heat/dust are also required qualities. The successful candidate should be between 25-45 years old, with negotiation skills for a salary based on expertise. Immediate joiners are preferred for this full-time position. Safety compliance, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and technical documentation knowledge are critical, as the role emphasizes hands-on maintenance work over planning.
