Mechanical HVAC Design For Industrial/Commercial Projects

Role & responsibilities

Candidate for Mechanical and piping design executive will collaborate with various stake

holders such as internal team, clients and other functions etc to create efficient and

sustainable design for Mechanical systems. The candidate shall capable of doing design

engineering involving the calculations, equipment sizing, software models review and

drawing development. Main focus area would be HVAC. contribute to energy-efficient

solutions.

Analyze MEP drawings related to HVAC, plumbing, and other systems in terms of

various aspects such as accuracy, compliance, and coordination with architectural

plans

• Understanding of HVAC design principles such as consideration of ambient

conditions, equipment selection, and load calculations.

• Understand human comfort requirements and lighting loads.
• Exploring energy-efficient alternative HVAC systems such as passive cooling
• Contribute to reducing environmental impact by reducing refrigerant quantities, use

of alternate refrigerants etc.

• Collaborate with senior designers to incorporate energy-saving features.

Explore innovative solutions for Mechanical systems Develop a basic

understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., National Building Code

NBC, BIS, ASHREA, ISHREA).

• Ensure compliance in Mechanical designs.
• Working knowledge and ability to review of industrial piping design/data (such as

LPG, nitrogen etc).

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E / B. Tech in Mech from an institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE
• Should have 6+ Years experience into HVAC Design
• Should have the knowledge to review design details, drawings, technical

specification and bill of quantities, issued by the design consultants, to ensure the

same reflects the design brief.

• Should have minimum 6 years of experience in HVAC/ Firefighting, Plumbing, Fire

protections systems, steam systems

• Familiar with Indian and International Standards (NBC/IS/ASHRAE/ SMACNA/IEEE

etc. as applicable) in above areas

• Proficient in MEP Engineering and modeling software like AUTOCAD, REVIT, HAP, BMS

as applicable and general software packages like MS-Word, Excel, MS Power point etc.

• Hands on experience or Knowledge on BIM Model
