Job Summary: The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the precise assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery, equipment, and structural components. This role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and adherence to all safety protocols to ensure efficient and reliable operations. Key Responsibilities: Assembly and Installation: Fabricate, fit, and assemble various mechanical components and parts with high precision. Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools (drills, grinders, cutting torches, etc.), and specialized machinery (Forging hammer, lathes, milling machines) to cut, grind, shape, and join materials. Install new mechanical systems, equipment, and plant machinery according to specifications. Perform precise measurements using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure components fit correctly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
