Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Vicarious Surgical in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mechanical development of equipment associated with our surgical robot. Vicarious Surgical, a US-based next-generation robotics company, aims to revolutionize surgical procedures, enhance patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participate in all phases of product development, such as concept generation, detailed design, and manufacturing process development - Manage a moderate scope of work, including taking ownership of some subsystems within a larger piece of equipment - Analyze and suggest design improvements to existing prototypes - Collaborate with internal and external resources to produce highly functional prototypes - Be a helpful and collaborative team member **Skills Needed:** - Familiarity with electromechanical design - Proficiency in solid modeling, with Solidworks preferred - Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders - Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Inspection, and various assembly techniques - Comfort with the interplay between components of a complex electromechanical system - Experience with medical device product development and the 510(k) submission process - Prior experience with test strategies to advance from prototypes to finished products - Knowledge in sheet metal and plastics experience - Ability to work independently and autonomously - Effective communication skills and openness to constructive feedback - Prior experience working on Robotics Systems and/or human input devices is a plus **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree - 2+ years of experience with a Master's Degree - Passion for excellence in product development - Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude At Vicarious Surgical, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of mission-driven individuals with diverse experiences, setting ambitious goals and collectively working towards achieving them.,
