Mechanical Engineer, Senior

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and testing electro-mechanical systems and packaging. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide design information and complete project deliverables. The successful candidate will operate as a member of the Corporate Engineering department, working on the conceptualization and design of high-performance electronic assemblies for various applications. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Creo solid modeling software for concept layouts, defining circuit board outlines, and mounting constraints - Perform thermal analysis and simulations using tools like Flotherm and Ansys ICEPAK - Create detailed mechanical drawings, specify dimensional tolerances, and create BOMs for assemblies - Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers for design collaboration and fabrication - Interface with internal staff and outside partners to execute multi-disciplined projects - Demonstrate leadership skills to direct, capture, and interface with outside consultants Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience - OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1+ year of experience - OR PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field - 2+ years actively involved in mechanical engineering and design of high-density electronics packaging - Experience with Creo solid modeling and thermal analysis tools like Flotherm or ANSYS ICEPAK Note: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.,
