Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of material handling systems (cranes, hoists, conveyors, hydraulic lifting systems) for oil & gas facilities.

Perform advanced mechanical calculations, stress analysis, and equipment sizing to ensure compliance with API, ASME, and ISO standards.
Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and engineering drawings.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams for project execution.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ensure safety compliance for lifting and handling operations.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of material handling equipment.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
Support procurement and vendor evaluation processes.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of experience in material handling equipment design and maintenance within oil & gas projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI).
Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis software.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
