Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at our client, a leading toy manufacturing company in Untva, Kadi, you will be responsible for designing jigs, fixtures, moulds, and validating mould designs. Your primary responsibilities will include conceptualizing, designing, and developing new mechanical devices or systems, ensuring that the designs meet functional, performance, and safety specifications. You will also be involved in preparing component and assembly drawings, understanding various component manufacturing processes, and delivering designs within specified timelines. In this role, you will be developing 2D and 3D models for jigs, fixtures, toy articles, moulds, and other products. You will need to consider factors such as Design For Manufacturability (DFM), Design For Assembly (DFA), Design for Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Tolerance stack-up analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) while designing parts. Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, you will create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings. Furthermore, you will be responsible for performing engineering calculations, selecting materials that meet application requirements, and collaborating with a cross-functional team to bring your designs from concept to reality. Your role will also involve participating in prototyping and testing phases to evaluate design functionality, performance, and manufacturability. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest mechanical engineering technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, and advanced materials. To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, possess a thorough knowledge of MS Office and 3D modeling software, and have at least 3 years of experience in a similar field. Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in Gujarati, Hindi, and English are essential for this position.
