Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Detailed mechanical designs of high-performance and commercial viable electro-mechanical systems.

2. Support the product development process comprising a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, and software design, and understand the underlying system implications.

3. Detailed engineering analysis of hardware solutions using knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, generative design, mechanism design and design for manufacturing techniques.

4. Perform and coordinate tests as per internal as well as industry-accepted reliability specifications.

5. Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex engineering problems including operability, serviceability and manufacturability.

6. Support System Integration of automation modules during the assembly and final testing of new product designs.

7. Scouting suitable vendors for material sourcing and fabrication. 8. Travel within the city to vendor locations to clarify their doubts and to perform QC

Preferred candidate profile

1. B.Tech and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or relevant field

2. 5+ years of professional industry work experience dealing with mechanical system design.

3. Proficient in CAD modeling and FEM analysis software. Solidworks, Fusion 360, and Ansys Preferred.

4. A strong portfolio of projects that you are proud of.

5. Wide working knowledge and field practice of engineering principles, theories, and concepts of mechanical engineering.

6. Practical experience in designing systems involving high precision and stability.

7. Deep understanding of design and manufacturing techniques involving sheet metal, welding and CNC.

8. Strong foundation and practical knowledge in kinematics, dynamics, mechanism design, motion control, mechanical hardware design and rapid prototyping.

9. Detailed knowledge of industry practices required for the fabrication of components by machine shops or contract manufacturers.
