Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our plant engineering team. The selected candidate will assist in the complete mechanical design of industrial gas handling plants including LPG, Ammonia, CO, Propylene, and other chemical storage and distribution systems. This role involves understanding and supporting layout planning, equipment design, piping systems, and structural supports for entire plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the conceptual and detailed design of LPG, Ammonia, and other gas plants.
• Develop P&IDs, GA drawings, piping layouts, and equipment drawings.
• Support selection and specification of pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment.
• Prepare and update mechanical datasheets, BOM, and technical documents.
• Collaborate with process, electrical, civil, and instrumentation teams for multidisciplinary coordination.
• Learn and apply industry codes like ASME, API, IS, ANSI, PESO, OISD, etc.
• Support 3D plant modeling and clash detection using software (optional, based on tools used).
• Assist in documentation for design reviews, HAZOP studies, and client approvals.
• Conduct basic pressure drop, flow, and mechanical calculations under guidance.
• Participate in vendor discussions and technical evaluations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Fresher or 01 year experience).
• Strong understanding of core mechanical concepts thermodynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, etc.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and optionally any 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, etc.).
• Interest in the design of industrial plants, piping, and pressure equipment.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn engineering codes and industrial practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process diagrams.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Internship or project experience in plant or piping design.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping isometrics.
• Exposure to software like CAESAR II (piping stress), PV Elite (vessel design), or HTRI (heat exchanger design).
