Job Description

Design and develop of mechanical systems and component integration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, thermal and control system team to develop innovative solutions.

Perform feasibility studies and provide technical assessments to evaluate the suitability of different design concepts for various mining equipment applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications, ensure manufacturability, and meet project goals.

Conduct design reviews and Brainstorming sessions to evaluate concepts.

Develop and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices for subsystem structural design.

Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements.

Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support the manufacturing and assembly of subsystems.

Prepare engineering documents, technical specifications, and bills of materials (BOM)

Create and manage design validation reports and testing documentation

Collaborate with other departments to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment of project deliverables

Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes

Oversee prototype fabrication and testing, and analyse test data to identify design issues and implement necessary modifications

Support the transition of designs from prototype to production, addressing any design-related issues and ensuring smooth production ramp-up

Good experience in integration and packaging activities
