An ITI Fitter (mechanic) is skilled in assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical components and systems. Someone with a right hustle attitude and cultural fit, and a desire to be a generalist (no task should be "too small")

This is not a clipboard job from a glass office. It’s on the floor, in the heat, sleeves up. It’s NOT a 9-to-5, please do NOT apply if you want a chill job.

What We Are Looking For

·Qualification: ITI Fitter/Mechanic .
·Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing with strong hands-on skill in fabricating, fitting, and assembling structural/mechanical components.
·Hands‑On & Practical: You’re comfortable being on the floor, tools in hand, solving real problems.
·Operational Discipline: Experience in fast-moving shop floors; you can maintain quality and consistency under pressure.
·Digitally Comfortable: Basic Excel, email, and app-based reporting; willing to use data to run smarter.
·Start‑Up Grit: Adaptable, focused, and ready to hustle in a dynamic, evolving setup.

What You’ll Do
Assembly & Fitting

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, GA/assembly sketches, and P&IDs.
• Fabricate and assemble structural and mechanical sub-assemblies, jigs, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Perform precision fitting: shaft/ bearing fits, couplings, seals, keys, pulleys, chain/sprocket alignment, and torque as per spec.
• Basic pipefitting for air/water/hydraulic lines; install valves, unions, elbows, and supports.

Machine Maintenance (Moulding & Extrusion Focus)

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and autonomous maintenance (AM) checklists for moulding, extrusion, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and utilities.
• Attend breakdowns: fault-find mechanical issues, replace belts/bearings/seals, align shafts, set clearances, and restore to standard with minimal MTTR.
• Lubrication management, spares tagging, and upkeep of tools and tackles.

Quality, Data & Documentation

• Use precision instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, feeler gauge, torque wrench) to verify tolerances.
• Maintain digital records in Excel/Google Sheets/ERP modules: PM compliance, breakdown logs, spares consumption, and downtime codes.
• Support first-off/first-pass quality checks after interventions; track rejections and assist in root-cause analysis.

Safety, Hygiene & Compliance

• Follow LOTO, PPE, machine guarding, and safe lifting practices; uphold 5S on the floor.
• Comply with internal EHS procedures and statutory norms under the Factories Act.
• Escalate unsafe conditions and participate in safety/toolbox talks.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

• Support quick changeovers, line set-ups, and trials with Production/R&D.
• Contribute Kaizens to reduce scrap/waste, improve OEE, and standardize work.
• Guide and mentor helpers/trainees from diverse backgrounds with patience and respect.
