Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient cloud-based data pipelines and integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), DBT, Snowflake, FiveTran, and related tools.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective technical solutions, including developing relational and dimensional data models.
• Implement and optimise end-to-end ETL/ELT processes to support enterprise data needs.
• Design and implement pipeline controls, conduct data quality assessments and enforce data governance best practices to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across data pipelines to ensure stability, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support analytics, reporting, and operational data needs.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve our data architecture continuously.
• Support master data management (MDM) initiatives and contribute to overall data strategy and architecture.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field, ideally within financial services or asset/wealth management.
• Proven expertise in Azure-based data engineering tools, including ADF, DBT, Snowflake, and FiveTran.
• Programming skills in Python (or Scala/Java) for data transformation and automation.
• Solid understanding of modern data modelling (relational, dimensional, and star schema).
• Experience with MDM platforms and frameworks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with additional ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS) is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into business-friendly language.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
