About The Opportunity
A public-health role within the Government Healthcare / Primary Care & Rehabilitation sector delivering outpatient (OPD) rehabilitation services in Sundargarh, Odisha. This on-site position supports a government project focused on improving access to quality primary care, community rehabilitation, and continuity of care for underserved populations.Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality OPD clinical care and rehabilitation-focused assessments to patients presenting at the project facility in Sundargarh.
- Perform timely emergency stabilisation and escalate/coordinate referrals to secondary or tertiary centres when required.
- Prescribe and manage medications according to government-approved treatment protocols and ensure safe dispensing practices.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, complete routine reporting for project monitoring, and support data capture for government audits.
- Collaborate with community health workers, physiotherapists, and program staff to implement individualized rehabilitation plans and follow-up care.
- Support implementation of NHM and other government health program protocols, including immunization drives, screening camps, and health education outreach.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree from a recognised medical college.
- Registration with the Medical Council / State Medical Council.
- Proven clinical experience providing OPD or primary-care services, preferably in government or community settings.
- Familiarity with National Health Mission (NHM) protocols and government reporting requirements.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Sundargarh, Odisha, and participate in community outreach as needed.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and competency in basic diagnostic procedures used in OPD.
Preferred
- Experience with rehabilitation programmes or physiotherapy coordination within outpatient settings.
- Prior involvement in government-funded health projects or NHM initiatives.
- Proficiency in Odia and local dialects to drive patient engagement and outreach.
