Accounts Officer (FMCG & Travel) Location: Guwahati, Assam Job Type: Full-Time | On-site About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage end-to-end accounting operations for our FMCG and Travel businesses. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting functions, taxation (GST, TDS, TCS), reconciliations, vendor management, payroll, and financial reporting as per standard Indian accounting practices. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounting Record and verify daily financial transactions — Sales & Purchase Orders, Credit/Debit Notes, Payments & Receipts, Journal Vouchers, and RCM entries. Manage invoices, vendor bills, and stock entries (including stock breaks). Reconcile daily cash and bank balances; handle cheque deposits and record keeping. Track expenses for freight, packaging, labour, repairs, and maintenance. Process vendor and customer payments; maintain vouchers, e-way bills, and financial records. Follow up on receivables, coordinate with sales teams, and maintain GST-compliant ledgers. Weekly / Fortnightly Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and party ledgers. Review Accounts Receivable & Payable; follow up on overdue and upcoming payments. Process employee expense claims and review GST reconciliations. Support procurement — supplier evaluation, purchase order management, and inventory tracking. Monthly Perform reconciliation for TDS/TCS, GST, vendor, and stock records. Calculate, deposit, and reconcile TDS/TCS as per Form 26AS. File monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and manage ITC reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B). Process payroll and post salary journal entries. Prepare MIS reports — Sales & Profitability, Outstanding, Stock Aging, and Bank Loans. Ensure timely payments for rent, commissions, maintenance, utilities, and statutory dues. Quarterly / Yearly Prepare quarterly TDS/TCS returns and Advance Tax payments. Assist in audits, financial statement preparation, and year-end closing. File annual GST & Income Tax returns; ensure compliance under the Companies Act. Review fixed assets, depreciation, and prepare annual budgets & forecasts. Renew business licences, insurances, and digital subscriptions.
