Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Business Manager (ABM) to lead and manage the sales team in the assigned territory. The ABM will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, developing strong customer relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of company strategies at the ground level. Note: This is a demanding, travel-intensive role . The candidate should be comfortable with 15–20 days of travel per month within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Lead, guide, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives to achieve business objectives. Drive sales performance and meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Implement marketing and promotional strategies to maximize market penetration. Build and nurture strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, chemists, and stockists. Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights to management. Ensure adherence to company policies, reporting systems, and compliance standards. Conduct regular fieldwork with team members for training, coaching, and business development. Review team performance through structured meetings and reporting. Desired Candidate Profile Graduate in Science/Pharmacy/Commerce (MBA preferred). 4–7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 1–2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and local market dynamics (East/North- East Region Preferred) Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze sales data, strategize, and execute plans effectively. High level of accountability, discipline, and result orientation.
