Position Title: Business Development Manager Mattress Department: Sales & Business Development Location: Karnataka (Handling stores across the state) Experience Required: 69 years (Retail Sales; Mattress/Furniture category preferred) Reports To: Head - Mattress Role Overview The Business Development Manager Mattress will be responsible for driving sales, training, and operations for the mattress category across Royaloak stores in Karnataka. The role demands a strong understanding of retail sales, category management, and the ability to train and motivate store teams to deliver consistent results. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Business Development Drive sales performance for the mattress category across all assigned stores. Generate leads, track conversions, and achieve revenue targets. Identify new growth opportunities and ensure consistent business expansion in the category. 2. Category & Store Operations Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and timely availability of products. Coordinate with supply chain and vendors for stock planning and inventory management. Ensure effective merchandising and in-store visibility for the mattress category. 3. Training & Capability Building Conduct product and sales training for store staff to enhance category knowledge. Ensure store teams are equipped to explain product benefits, features, and customer value. Regularly evaluate and refresh training modules to improve customer experience. 4. Stakeholder Management Work closely with the store operations team, supply chain, and marketing for seamless execution. Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure timely product availability and promotional support. Key Requirements 69 years of experience in retail sales/business development . Experience in mattress category highly preferred; furniture retail experience is a strong plus. Solid understanding of retail sales processes, customer engagement, and store operations. Strong analytical, coordination, and training skills. Ability to manage multiple stores across Karnataka (travel required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
