Role Summary As an Associate Solutions Engineer at Matters.AI, you will partner closely with our Account Executives and senior SEs to drive customer engagements in data security. Your mission is to translate complex security requirements into compelling demos, PoCs, and technical designs that showcase the value of Matters.AI’s platform. You’ll help accelerate sales cycles, ensure technical alignment, and build long‑term trust with enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities Technical Discovery & Scoping: Collaborate with AEs and customers to gather detailed requirements, map data security pain points, and define success criteria for PoCs. Demo & PoC Delivery: Design, configure, and deliver engaging product demonstrations and hands‑on PoCs that highlight Matters.AI’s value proposition. Solution Design & Architecture: Draft solution blueprints, integration patterns, and deployment guides tailored to customer environments (cloud, on‑prem, hybrid). Customer Onboarding Support: Assist in early PoC setup—providing installation guidance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth access to sample data sources. Cross‑Functional Feedback Loop: Capture customer feedback, product gaps, and feature requests; work with Product and Engineering to prioritize enhancements. Pipeline & Documentation: Maintain accurate PoC status, technical notes, and joint plans in CRM and our internal wiki. Brand Representation: Represent Matters.AI at industry meetups, webinars, and customer workshops—demonstrating our technical expertise and thought leadership. Travel: Willingness to travel for on‑site demos, workshops, and events. Qualifications Experience: 2+ years in pre‑sales engineering, technical consulting, or related roles within cybersecurity, data security, or cloud infrastructure. Technical Skills: Hands‑on familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core security controls (DLP, DSPM, IAM). Basic working knowledge of container environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and Linux. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent practical experience. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer‑facing presentations and documentation. Collaboration & Mindset: Team‑oriented and proactive—able to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment and partner closely with sales, product, and engineering teams.
