Maths Teacher

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Learning
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons suited to students’ age and ability levels.
• Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to make complex concepts understandable.
• Support and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
• Curriculum Development
• Design lesson plans and schemes of work that align with school or national curriculum standards.
• Integrate technology and real-life applications to make lessons relevant.
• Update teaching materials regularly to reflect modern mathematical practices.
• Assessment & Evaluation
• Prepare and conduct tests, quizzes, assignments, and exams.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of progress.
• Provide timely feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Classroom & Behavior Management
• Create a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Promote positive behavior, mutual respect, and cooperation among students.
• Student Support & Guidance
• Identify and support students with learning difficulties or exceptional talent.
• Offer additional help through tutoring, remedial classes, or enrichment sessions.
• Encourage students to participate in math-related activities and competitions.
• Professional Collaboration
• Participate in departmental and staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and educational improvements.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Administrative Tasks
• Maintain student records, attendance, and lesson documentation.
• Contribute to school events, parent meetings, and academic planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (required).
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Education (preferred).
• Teaching Qualification / Certification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (required).

Experience:

• Minimum: 1–3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or higher-secondary level.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of experience in a recognized school or college.
• Experience with modern teaching methods, digital learning tools, and student assessment systems is an advantage.
• Proven record of achieving strong student outcomes in Mathematics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
