As an Aerodynamics & CFD Engineer at Drones Tech LabTM, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing aerodynamic flow for UAV systems, encompassing both fixed-wing and rotorcraft configurations. Utilizing your expertise, you will conduct CFD analyses, flight dynamics simulations, and wind tunnel testing to provide essential insights for the design and performance enhancement of air-vehicle configurations. Your passion for advanced aerodynamic principles and cutting-edge UAV technologies will be instrumental in driving innovation within our team. Your responsibilities will include performing internal and external flow analysis of UAV systems, applying CFD tools such as ANSYS to optimize aerodynamics, and modeling the aerodynamic characteristics of subsonic and supersonic UAV configurations. Additionally, you will conduct flight dynamics and stability analyses, design wind tunnel models, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate aerodynamic considerations into the overall design process. To excel in this role, you should possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aerodynamic analysis and design for UAVs. Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+), strong background in aerodynamics and flight dynamics, and familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks) are essential qualifications. Your ability to predict and model aerodynamic behavior, optimize aerodynamic efficiency, and conduct aero/CFD analysis for assessing aerodynamic loads and stability will be key to your success in this position.
