Job Description

You will lead as the Head of the LSCM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) department for the Chennai plant. Your responsibilities will include managing Supply Chain (Direct Purchase), Store/Logistic Management, and Raw Material Planning. You must ensure no failures for any customers and zero production or sales loss due to non-material availability on time. Additionally, you will be in charge of inventory management and reconciliation for all subcontractor vendors for material consumption. Planning cycle counts as per the company policy and evaluating supplier ratings based on delivery performance are crucial aspects of this role. This position is highly challenging and demanding, requiring you to manage 6 customers, 30+ suppliers, and a team of 50 members, including interims. Being a good team player with excellent communication skills in Tamil, English, and Hindi (added advantage) is essential. Your job responsibilities will involve planning and executing materials for Clean Air manufacturing. Having a good understanding of SAP-MM/PP modules and ensuring 100% compliance is necessary. You will need to maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers, as well as keeping inventory at minimum and maximum stock levels at the plant to prevent any line stoppages. Building supplier relationships through the implementation of SNC/MPS/MRP is also a key responsibility. To excel in this role, you should have 13 to 16 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, including exposure to production planning, store/logistics management, raw material planning, and SAP within the automotive industry. A qualification as an Engineer with a BE/B.Tech degree is required. Your specialized skills and knowledge should include expertise in planning and scheduling materials, proficiency in SAP-MM module, SNC/MPS/MRP, JIT supplies, and inventory management. You should also have experience in supplier management, particularly in the stamping industry and steel procurement activities. Familiarity with Lean tools such as the KANBAN system and Value Stream Mapping, along with cost reduction initiatives related to logistics, import, and inbound costs, will be beneficial in this role.,
