Master & Reference Data Specialist

As a Master & Reference Data Specialist at Siemens Energy, your focus will be on driving the effective management of master and reference data across the organization. You will collaborate with various teams to document data sources, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with data governance standards. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of data excellence, enabling stakeholders to understand and utilize data effectively while contributing to the overall success of data management initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the identification and management of master and reference data sources across the organization. - Provide expert guidance to data governance roles, enhancing their skills in data management. - Support the documentation of master and reference data in the SE Data Catalog (Collibra). - Develop and implement processes for effective data governance and quality management. - Coach stakeholders to confidently manage their master and reference datasets. - Analyze and test MDM processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance with data governance. Qualifications Required: - University degree in any discipline, with a preference for critical thinking fields. - 10+ years of experience in Data Governance and Master Data Management in a large organization. - Strong communication skills to explain data governance concepts clearly and effectively. - Expertise in designing and implementing MDM solutions and understanding data quality practices. - Experience with operationalizing data governance tools, preferably Collibra Data Catalog. - A growth mindset, adaptable to changing demands and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
