Marine Surveyor

As a Marine Surveyor in the Marine Infrastructure / Surveying department based in Tanzania, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate surveying support for various marine construction projects, including jetties, breakwaters, berths, and coastal infrastructure. With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the success of these projects. Your responsibilities will include executing line-outs, establishing benchmarks, and verifying coordinates to maintain construction accuracy. You will conduct topographic and marine surveys using advanced tools such as GPS and Total Station, as well as bathymetric surveys using single-beam and multibeam echo sounders. Your proficiency in AutoCAD and specialized hydrographic software will be essential in processing raw survey data into detailed drawings for the Planning and Engineering teams. Collaboration with site execution, planning, and quality teams is key to delivering timely and accurate survey reports and drawings that align with design and construction requirements. Your strong understanding of coordinate systems, benchmarks, and tidal adjustments, coupled with excellent attention to detail and communication skills, will ensure precision and safety in all survey activities, especially in marine and tidal zones.
