Role & responsibilities

Job Title: Manual Test Engineer (Senior Level)

Location:

Job Summary:

Manual Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Perform comprehensive
functional
,
regression
,
sanity
,
smoke
, and
black-box testing
.
Conduct
API testing
using
Postman
to validate request/response structures and data integrity.
Collaborate with development and product teams to understand features and technical implementations.
Identify, document, and manage
defects
using tools like
JIRA
, and ensure timely resolution.
Conduct thorough
debugging and root cause analysis
in coordination with developers.
Maintain and update test documentation including test cases, test data, and test results.
Participate in
test planning
, requirement reviews, and sprint planning meetings.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases and contribute to test process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6 to 10 years of
manual testing
experience in software QA.
Strong hands-on experience with
API testing tools (Postman)
.
Excellent knowledge of
SDLC
and
STLC
processes.
In-depth understanding of different testing techniques including
regression
,
smoke
,
sanity
,
functional
, and
black-box
testing.
Solid experience in
defect management
and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Good
debugging skills
and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with test management tools like
TestRail
,
Zephyr
, or
HP ALM
.
Exposure to automation testing tools is a plus (not mandatory).
