• Software Engineer in Test (SE):

Key Responsibilities

• Test Case Design & Execution:

  Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on functional requirements and user stories.

• Manual Testing:

  Conduct thorough functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on web applications and related systems.

• Defect Management:

  Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA), working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Understand and apply various

  defect techniques

  and manage the entire

  defect lifecycle.

• Database Testing:

  Perform

  database testing

  by writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, and backend functionality.

• API Testing:

  Design and execute API tests using tools like

  Postman

  to ensure seamless integration between systems and validate data exchange.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives), provide clear QA status reports, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, business analysts).

• Version Control:

  Utilize

  GTH (Git/GitHub)

  for managing and sharing test-related documentation and potentially assisting with automated test scripts (if applicable to the role level).

• Domain Expertise:

  Apply knowledge of the

  healthcare

  domain to ensure compliance with industry standards and specific application requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in manual software testing (3-5 years for SE, 6-8 years for SSE).

• Proven experience in the

  healthcare

  sector is a mandatory requirement.

• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Expertise in

  test case design techniques

  (e.g., boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning).

• Proficiency in SQL for backend database testing.

• Hands-on experience with API testing tools, specifically

  Postman.

• Familiarity with version control systems like

  Git/GitHub

  (GTH).

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• (For SSE level) Experience in mentoring junior testers and defining testing strategies is a plus.
