Manual Test Engineer (Banking Domain)

As a Manual Test Engineer at AlgoShack, your role involves analyzing business and functional requirements specific to banking applications. You will be responsible for creating and executing detailed manual test cases and scripts, conducting various types of testing including system, integration, regression, and UAT testing. It is essential to document defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar and collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality and compliance with banking processes and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze business and functional requirements related to banking applications. - Create and execute detailed manual test cases and test scripts. - Perform system, integration, regression, and UAT testing. - Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. - Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders. - Ensure adherence to compliance and security standards in testing. - Participate in test planning, status meetings, and project reviews. - Prepare test reports and provide status updates to the QA lead. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in manual testing with a focus on the banking domain. - Strong understanding of banking processes such as retail banking, core banking systems, internet/mobile banking, and financial transactions. - Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail). - Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
