Oracle ASM DBA JD:
Installation and Configuration:Installation, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Grid Infrastructure, which includes Oracle Clusterware and Oracle ASM. This involves setting up ASM disk groups and configuring storage for Oracle databases.Storage Management:Managing ASM disk groups, including adding, dropping, and rebalancing disks. Monitoring ASM space utilization and take action accordingly. High Availability and Disaster Recovery:Managing high availability through RAC and Data Guard in conjunction with ASM. This includes configuring ASM for shared storage in RAC environments and managing ASM-based storage for Data Guard standby databases.Backup and Recovery:Designing, implementing, and managing backup and recovery strategies for databases utilizing ASM, often involving Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) for ASM-aware backups and recoveries.Performance Tuning:Monitoring and tuning ASM performance, including I/O performance and disk group rebalancing operations, to optimize database performance.Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving issues related to ASM, including disk failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems between databases and ASM instances.Patching and Upgrades:Applying patches and performing upgrades to Oracle Grid Infrastructure and ASM instances to ensure security and functionality.Security:Implementing and maintaining security measures for ASM instances and disk groups.
