Manager - WTG - Tower Quality

Role & responsibilities

• Shall be deputed at various WTG Tower OEM locations (Koppal, Nellore, Kolhapur, Satara) as per HFE requirement.
• Shall be responsible for inspection/witnessing of WTG Tower raw material at respective

manufacturing facilities.

• Knowledge of various tasks performed on the workstation of tower manufacturing.
• Knowledge of visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) i.e. UT, MPT, LPT inspections on wind

turbine towers & its raw material to identify defects such as cracks, corrosion, and structural

damage.

• Knowledge of destructive testing i.e. Impact, MT, CT inspections on wind turbine tower material to identify defects such as cracks, corrosion, and structural damage.
• Conduct "walk-down" inspections in manufacturing to ensure all inspection, witnessing and task performed by OEM & TPI are as per QAP.
• Witness factory routine testing and monitor quality control processes for tower components.
• Document all inspection findings, including non-conformities and quality deficiencies, and prepare detailed reports with photographic evidence.
• Perform specific inspections to troubleshoot unique or recurring tower issues as directed by

management.

• Work at heights, often in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel (within India) for any complaint resolution.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and quality plans.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and inspection tools, such as ultrasonic testing equipment, torque wrenches.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical wind turbine systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Customer focus, commitment and independent work.

Preferred candidate profile

DIPLOMA/BE/B-TECH (In Mechanical) & Minimum 7-10 Years of progressively responsible

experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control of WTG Tower manufacturing inspection along

with balance of plant works.

• NDT Level II certification is required for inspectors performing advanced testing (Optional).
