Manager, Test Engineering (SDET)

Role Overview: You will be joining Guidewire, a trusted platform by P&C insurers for engaging, innovating, and growing efficiently. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a large cross-functional team to ensure the delivery of quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top-notch engineering talents - Develop and implement a comprehensive end-to-end testing strategy aligned with business objectives - Establish and monitor quality metrics across multiple product portfolios - Set up and enforce quality standards through automation - Drive decisions on quality tooling and frameworks - Develop and own the quality architecture Qualifications Required: - 15+ years of Software Development or SDET experience in SaaS and/or PaaS - 8+ years of managing Test Engineers with performance and career management responsibilities - 4+ years of experience in managing multiple testing teams - Analytical mindset with a strong bias towards automation - Prior programming experience in Java, Go, Python, or other high-level languages - Proficiency in public cloud technologies (preferably AWS), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices - Solid understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, and architecture - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical information dissemination - BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Math Good to Have: - BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields - Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Note: Additional details about the company are omitted from the job description),
