SAP Materials Management (MM) Manager

Responsibilities

Implementation Projects

• Understand and align activities with the organization's values and vision.
• Protect Intellectual Property and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Set up the organizational structure for Material Management, including configurations like Purchase Organization, Valuation Area, Plants, Storage Locations, and Warehouse Structure.
• Finalize Material Groups, Purchasing Groups, Payment Terms, Incoterms, and Pricing Procedures.
• Define number ranges for Material Master, Vendor Master, and purchasing/inventory documents.
• Configure release procedures for purchasing documents, such as Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
• Prepare testing documents, conduct internal testing, and support quality assurance processes.
• Develop master data templates for Material Master, Vendor Master, Excise Master, Info-Records, Source List, and Purchase Orders.
• Perform integration testing with other modules (PP, SD, FI/CO).
• Prepare cut-over strategies for MM objects and support Go-Live preparation and post-Go-Live support.
• Create user manuals and conduct training sessions for business process owners.

Support Projects

• Interact with clients through online meetings, calls, and emails to address support queries.
• Handle tickets and tasks, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide effective solutions.
• Implement configuration changes as needed to support business requirements.
• Raise Change Requests (CRs), write functional specifications, and manage CR lifecycle.
• Prepare test data, conduct testing for CRs, and document test results.
• Carry out regression testing to ensure system stability after updates.
• Collaborate with consultants from other modules to address cross-functional issues.
• Develop customized reports based on business scenarios.
• Create detailed blueprints to support the configuration of business scenarios.
• Evaluate research findings to develop strategic recommendations.
• Mentor and coach team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience in Procurement, Inventory Management, External Service Management, Logistics Invoice Verification, Batch and Serial Number Management, Output Determination, and Cross-Module Integration.
• Expertise in India Tax Procedures within SAP MM CIN Module.
