Manager- Supplier

As a key player in the Supply Chain department based in Coimbatore, India, your primary responsibility will be to effectively plan and deliver materials from both import and local suppliers. This includes raw materials, bought out parts, traded items, and subcontracted parts. You will play a crucial role in developing suppliers for tool-dependent products, addressing technical issues, and managing the purchase activities of indirect items and services in a cost-effective manner. Your essential functions will include: - Ensuring compliance with indirect purchase policies - Planning materials required for Sales, Production, and consumables - Preparing and reviewing purchase orders based on MRP, trading items, and Two bins requirements - Managing supplier fulfillment from purchase order issuance to part receipt into stock - Interacting closely with intercompany for price requests, lead time, expedite/de-expedite messages, and updating in the EDI Portal - Updating and maintaining purchase orders in the MRP system for changes in design and delivery requirements - Developing and executing plans to exceed key supplier goals such as Inventory DOH, OTD, and cost reduction - Implementing Plan For Every Part (PFEP) to optimize inventory and improve OTD - Monitoring ERP Health check and taking corrective actions against error messages - Evaluating supplier performance and initiating focus programs as needed - Monitoring supplier capacity for subcontracted items - Coordinating and co-leading supplier performance meetings, analyzing data, and recommending actions for optimal supplier delivery - Driving the implementation of best practices and continual improvements in procurement processes and with suppliers - Ensuring compliance with Supply Chain and Purchasing procedures and requirements Qualifications: - BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 15 years of experience (Bachelors) Skills: - Experience in managing import and local suppliers - Additional qualification in material management preferred - Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably MFG Pro - Proficiency with MS Office products - Strong analytical and structured thinking skills - Ability to work well in a team - Fluency in English and Tamil - Capable of interacting with all levels of management - Experience in sourcing and inventory management If you meet the qualifications and possess the required skills, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding position in our Supply Chain department.,
