Manager - Stores - Food - Pharma - MNC - Kochi

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies, inventory policies, procedures, and key performance indicators aligned with production forecasts
• Establish optimal inventory levels for raw materials, processing chemicals, packaging components, and maintenance supplies to minimize stockouts and ensure uninterrupted production.
• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of osseous materials and finished products
• Oversee complete management of raw materials (hide/skin, lime, acid, chemicals, solvents), consumables, spare parts, packaging, and finished goods.
• Develop and implement systems for efficient inventory control, stock movement, and documentation.
• Ensure proper processes for dispatch and exports.
• Supply Chain Integration & Vendor Management
• Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
• Verify packaging as per international standards (food-grade bags, pharma-grade drums, export cartons, pallets).
• Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
• Lead implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration, and inventory tracking technologies.
• Team Leadership & Development

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR Master's in Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution. Professional certifications such as CPIM Management, CSCP, Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution are highly desirable
• Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or supply chain operations in regulated manufacturing environments (preferably from food/pharma/chemical industries unionized environments) with exposure in ERP (ideally SAP HANA) systems pertaining to warehouse management
