MANAGER (SHIP REPAIR) - HULL TREATMENT

As the Blasting and Painting Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to plan and execute blasting and painting jobs for ship repair, refit, and conversion projects. You will be expected to ensure timely completion of fuel oil tank cleaning, blasting, and painting tasks according to the defined scope of work. Compliance with safety and quality standards at the shipyard is crucial in this role. Managing subcontractor manpower and adhering to job schedules will be essential to your success in this position. You will also be responsible for maintaining a smooth workflow by coordinating with various departments within the organization. Your expertise in surface preparation, blasting, and painting techniques will be vital in meeting project requirements. Proficiency in power tooling, surface preparation, fuel oil tank cleaning, and reading and preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) will be required for this role. Familiarity with shipyard safety and quality standards is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will have prior work experience on naval ships and a background in similar field execution works. You should be skilled in handling projects that involve process improvements, quality-related activities, resource planning, in-process inspection, and coordination with internal and external departments.
