MANAGER (SHIP REPAIR) - HULL TREATMENT

Role Overview: You will be responsible for planning and executing blasting and painting jobs for repair/refit/conversion of ships. Your main focus will be on timely completion of fuel oil tank cleaning, blasting, and painting jobs in adherence to safety and quality norms of the shipyard. You will also manage subcontractors" manpower, ensure job schedule adherence, coordinate with inter-departments, and have sound knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, and painting techniques. Additionally, you will be expected to read and prepare BOM as per project requirements and have exposure to shipyard safety and quality norms. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute blasting and painting jobs for repair/refit/conversion of ships - Ensure timely completion of fuel oil tank cleaning, blasting, and painting jobs as per scope of work - Comply with safety and quality norms of the shipyard - Manage subcontractors" manpower and ensure job schedule adherence - Coordinate with inter-departments for smooth workflow - Demonstrate competency in power tooling, surface preparation, fuel oil tank cleaning, blasting, and painting - Read and prepare BOM as per project requirements - Preferably have work experience on-board naval ships and in similar field execution works - Handle projects in process improvements and quality-related activities involving resource planning, in-process inspection, and coordination with internal and external departments Qualification Required: - Experience in blasting and painting jobs, preferably in shipyard or similar field - Knowledge of surface preparation techniques - Competency in power tooling, fuel oil tank cleaning, and reading BOM - Exposure to shipyard safety and quality norms Additional Details: If there are any additional details about the company in the JD, please provide them here.,
