Manager, Quality Control - Garments

Are you passionate about ensuring top-tier quality in every garment produced We are currently seeking a Quality Control expert to lead and oversee quality assurance processes to meet buyer expectations and industry standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring garments adhere to measurement specifications, stitching quality, trims, and finishes. You will be expected to ensure compliance with buyer standards and industry norms such as AQL and 4-point inspections. Additionally, analyzing defects, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurring issues will be vital aspects of your role. You will also be responsible for training and guiding a team of QC checkers, collaborating with various departments to address quality concerns promptly, and conducting quality audits at vendor or subcontractor units when necessary. Maintaining detailed QC reports and records for internal audits and buyer visits will also be part of your duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of knitwear construction and textile materials, along with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in quality tools and inspection methods. Effective leadership skills, clear communication abilities across departments, and proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and digital reporting tools are also essential for this role. Qualifications required for this position include a diploma or degree in Apparel Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field, along with 10-15 years of hands-on experience in apparel QC, preferably focusing on knitwear. Prior experience working with export buyers would be advantageous.
