Description
As a Manager in Software Engineering within the Enterprise Data Accessibility (EDA) program of the Data & Analytics department under Services Org, your role involves leading, mentoring, and coaching software engineering teams to build, enhance, and deliver internal or market-facing products and platforms. Your deep technical experience combined with excellent people management skills will be instrumental in elevating the teams and the engineering approach. Responsibilities: - Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for data accessibility, serving, and conveyance solutions. - Collaborate with engineering, data science, and business teams to develop scalable and high-performance data products. - Work closely with internal clients to understand data access needs and translate them into technical requirements. - Support the Product Owners in defining user stories capturing functional requirements and take responsibility for accepting user stories on build completion. - Drive the development of APIs, microservices architecture, hybrid multi-cloud data pipelines, BI solutions, SQL, and Big Data technologies to enhance data availability and usability. - Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy regulations. - Leverage AI/ML and advanced analytics to enhance data accessibility and decision-making processes. - Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve product effectiveness. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation within the data domain. Qualifications Required: - Ability to complete technical systems analysis and solutioning. - Strong business analysis skills to translate high-level requirements into detailed functional requirements independently. - Collaborative design skills to enhance product offerings and work within design principles. - Proficient in interface specifications, data mappings, APIs, data pipelines, and other data serving solutions. - Excellent documentation skills to define, review, and evaluate requirements and propose technical/functional solutions. - Experience working collaboratively within Agile teams with both development and business stakeholders. - Effective communication skills with both technical and business audiences. - Demonstrated empowerment, accountability, independent thinking, and collaboration mindset. - Commitment to timely and quality delivery with a willingness to learn and adapt.
