As a Product Development Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in the front-end product development process, focusing on Sweater Design & Development. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the development & allocation process for new knitwear styles, working closely with design teams to translate vision into viable products. - Developing and sourcing appropriate yarns and fibers, partnering with regional yarn mills and factory suppliers to ensure quality standards are met. - Collaborating with design and production teams to create prototypes and samples, guiding necessary iterations for desired fit, quality, and cost. - Acting as a key liaison between the design team and manufacturing units, providing technical support and ensuring quality control. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for: - Continuously evaluating and optimizing production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality outcomes. - Staying updated with global fashion trends, yarn technologies, and knitting techniques to introduce innovative ideas and materials. - Advocating for and implementing sustainable practices in knitwear development. To qualify for this position, we require: - Minimum 5-7 years of product development experience, with a focus on knitwear. Experience with Indian and international factories is a plus. - In-depth knowledge of knitwear construction, yarn selection, and stitch engineering. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field. - Creativity, innovation, collaboration, and communication skills. - Fluency in English, with additional language skills in Hindi or other regional languages being advantageous.
