Job Description

  • Job Purpose

    Role holder will be responsible for managing all metalizing activities within Manufacturing.
  • Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Manage day to day activities in the Metallizing and UV Spray area.
  • Supervise the team, to ensure smooth production.
  • Problem solve technical issues relating to these areas.
  • Visit suppliers globally to bring the latest metalizing technology into the business.
  • Constantly work to upgrade the available metallizing finishes to the companies production.
  • Engage in a regular process of technology transfer.
  • Develop team. Motivate and train unskilled laborers.
  • Allocate appropriate manpower improve man hour efficiency.
  • Reduce overtime and achieve targets on time.
  • Maximize yield. Set standards for accurate proportions and consumption levels
  • Inspect output at each stage of production and FG quality reports.
  • Drive quality standards. Monitor rejection rates.
  • Do root cause analysis on rejections and improve measures.
  • Address complaints and troubleshoot variances Educate methodology, technical know-how and appropriate
  • combination of paints and die.
  • Reduce rework cost and wastages. Identify failures Monitor energy consumption. Control machine operating procedures
  • and runtime.
  • Coordinate with maintenance team for deficiencies. Monitor scheduled maintenances.
  • Optimize cost of consumables & non stock items by sourcing alternate suppliers.
  • Identify areas to improve performance and yield.

  • Skills & Competencies Required

  • Must have worked all their career in Metallizing & UV Spraying.
  • Ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • Should have experience of Vacuum Metallizing using Vertical Chambers.
