Job Description

The Expert in Advanced Analytics (Market Research) is a senior consulting role that applies advanced Analytics and statistical methods to derive strategic insights. This role involves quantitative modeling and optimization to analyze consumer behavior and attitudinal data. Required to lead end-to-end research projects, often with an international scope, translating data into strategic recommendations.
The position requires an academic background (advanced degree in statistics or data science) and extensive experience in market research analytics.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Lead the design and execution of advanced quantitative studies including pricing optimization (Van Westendorp, Gabor Granger, Price Sensitivity Meter) and trade-off experiments (Conjoint, Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint).
  • MaxDiff & TURF: Perform MaxDiff (Maximum-Difference Scaling) and TURF analyses to prioritize product attributes and determine optimal product/message combinations.
  • Segmentation & Clustering: Develop and implement market segmentation schemes using clustering techniques (k means, hierarchical, latent class) and factor/cluster analysis.
  • Driver Analysis: Conduct driver modeling and predictive analytics (regression, decision trees/CHAID) to uncover key factors influencing consumer behavior and brand metrics.
  • Project Leadership: Manage global market research studies including study design, data collection oversight, analysis, reporting, and client presentation.
  • Client Consulting: Act as the primary analytics consultant for clients: define objectives, recommend methodologies, present results, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor junior analysts, review deliverables for quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e. g. , product, marketing, BI) to implement insights.
  • Business Development: Support new business efforts by contributing analytical expertise to proposals and pitches.
Skillsets
  • Quantitative Expertise: Expertise in market research analytics techniques, including conjoint analysis, discrete choice modeling, MaxDiff, TURF, pricing models, clustering, and regression analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in R, Python and/or SPSS/SAS, and experience with data management (SQL/databases, data cleaning).
  • Education: Advanced degree in Statistics & Data Science or a related quantitative field.
  • Domain Experience: Extensive experience in quantitative market research, including survey design and analysis of consumer data; exposure to international research projects is a plus.
  • Tools & Software: Familiarity with analytics and visualization platforms (e. g. , SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI) and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses in clear business terms.
