The Manager of IT PMO will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects that drive business growth and innovation. By establishing effective project management practices and governance frameworks, this role will contribute directly to enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing risks, and achieving strategic objectives. The manager will have the opportunity to influence decision-making, foster a culture of collaboration, and drive continuous improvement within the IT department This role will ensure that our IT investments align with strategic objectives, mitigate risks effectively, and deliver measurable business value.
Key Result Areas
- Collaboration with senior management, department heads, and external partners will be crucial to aligning IT initiatives with business needs and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Optimize Project Portfolio Management - Conduct a strategic alignment review for all projects. Implement a project prioritization framework.
- Enhance Project Transparency and Reporting - Customization in project management tool. Develop standardized reporting templates. Train project teams on using the project Management tool.
- Foster Team Collaboration and Communication - Schedule and identifying the right stakeholders for regular cross-team meetings. Create a knowledge-sharing platform
- Strengthen Project Governance - Conduct regular governance audits and report.
- Quality delivery and UAT - Quality delivery needs to be assessed through metrics like defect rates & rework rates.
- Ensure Project meets Objectives & Process improvements - Define clear Measurable objectives for each project. Monitor Project progress against objectives regularly Conduct post project reviews
- Build PMO Competency and Capability - Develop a targeted training and development plan.
- Encourage certification and continuous learning - Arrange business knowledge sessions
- Automate / improve efficiency of business processes and result in cost optimization
Required Key Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in IT project management, with a minimum of 2 years in a PMO functions.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and governance best practices.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Agile (Scrum Master, Agile Coach) preferred.
- Experience in managing large-scale IT projects and portfolios in a complex organizational environment.
- Experience in NBFC will be preferred
